UGIS Commencement Ceremony 2025

ISF graduates participate in the UGIS Commencement Ceremony held in May each year. The departmental Undergraduate and Interdisciplinary Studies (UGIS) ceremony includes ISF, Media Studies, and American Studies majors. Students who graduated in Fall 2024 and who are graduating in Spring 2025, Summer 2025, and Fall 2025 are eligible to participate. ISF majors should meet with their ISF faculty advisor and the undergraduate major advisor, Michelle, at least three months before the May ceremony to ensure they have met all of their major requirements for graduation.
More information regarding registration, ticket sales, parking, arrival time, guest instructions, etc. will be sent to eligible students and posted to the UGIS Commencement website in Spring semester. Please check your berkeley.edu emails and the UGIS Commencement website throughout the Spring semester to find updated information.
UC Berkeley Campus-wide Commencement Ceremonies
The University campus-wide Spring Commencement ceremony will be on Saturday, May 17, 2025. time TBD. Visit the UC Berkeley Commencement page in the Spring for details. If you have questions after reviewing their website, you can reach the Berkeley Commencement Staff on their Contact Us page. Graduate names are not read at the Spring campus-wide ceremony.
